The Third Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Ministry consists of two major components.
Our vision is to develop children who are fully devoted to Christ and equipped to meet the challenges faced by their generation as leaders for the Kingdom.
Objectives:
To successfully accomplish this mission and vision several objectives are essential:
- To Be Child Focused - Provide lessons, activities décor, songs, and music that is appropriate for children.

- To Use Creative Bible Teaching - Utilize methods such as traditional Bible study lessons and scripture memorization, as well as, puppet dramas, games, storytelling, skits, art, and songs to creatively help children learn biblical truths.
- To Provide Relevant Bible Teaching - Teach children how the situations that Bible characters faced, the actions they took, the consequences of those actions and the truths they learned are relevant to the situations children face today.
- To Recruit Disciple Leaders - Be an example of Jesus' character and model what it means to be a follower of Christ
- To Ensure A Safe Environment - Provide a spiritual, emotional, and physical safe environment.
- Spiritual safety - an environment where children feel accepted regardless of their level of knowledge about the Bible and not to feel coerced to make a decision about their faith before they are ready.
- Emotional safety - an environment where children feel genuine warmth, welcomed, nurtured, compassion, loved, supported and encouraged
- Physical safety - an environment where precautionary measures are implemented to keep the children safe.
The Third Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Ministry consists of two major components.
- The first component is Sunday Children’s Church. This component allows the children to become familiar with worship and Bible teaching but experience them on a kid-friendly basis.
- The second component is Tuesday Evening Bible Study. The purpose of this component is to allow the children to dig deeper into the Bible lessons presented on Sundays.
