Growing God's Garden Pre-School & Youth Center
Third Presbyterian Church seeks to glorify God through the implementation of ministries that provide physical, spiritual and educational resources needed for the strengthening of its congregation and surrounding community. Just one of the many ways we accomplish this is through the Growing God’s Garden Pre-School (GGGP). We realize that there are numerous pre-school options available, however, our goal is to provide families with an affordable pre-school option where your children experience love in a Christian environment while growing in godly character and academic excellence.
Philosophy:
Growing God’s Garden Preschool believes “children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3), therefore each child is a unique and special blessing. Our staff takes joy in helping each child develop socially, emotionally, physically, academically and spiritually according to the Word of God (Prov 22:6). We do this through the P.L.A.N.T program. In this program we will:

Vision:
Our vision is develop children who are fully devoted to Christ and equipped to reach their highest potential as they meet the challenges faced by their generation as leaders for the Kingdom.
Objectives:
To successfully accomplish this mission and vision several objectives are essential:
- To Provide Academic Excellence - Provide a developmentally appropriate, high-quality curriculum that allows children to reach their full academic potential
- To Be Child Focused – Provide lessons, activities, décor, songs, and music that is appropriate for children.
- To Use Creative Teaching – In addition to traditional teaching methods, we will utilize puppet dramas, games, storytelling, skits, art, and songs to creatively help children learn.
- To Provide Relevant Bible Teaching – Teach children how the situations that Bible characters faced, the actions they took, the consequences of those actions and the truths they learned are relevant to the situations children face today.
- To Ensure A Safe Environment– Provide a spiritual, emotional, and physically safe environment.
- Spiritual safety – an environment where children feel accepted regardless of their level of knowledge about the Bible and not to feel coerced to make a decision about their faith before they are ready.
- Emotional safety – an environment where children feel genuine warmth, welcomed, nurtured, compassion, loved, supported and encouraged
- Physical safety – an environment where precautionary measures are implemented to keep the children safe.
