Community Outreach Ministry

The Community Outreach Ministry centers or focuses its attention on helping the Church’s neighboring communities.  It does this through the sponsorship of a wide variety of special events that help build the community.  The ministry also serves as a spiritual haven for those seeking worship and fellowship, and/or those who want to join the Body of Believers at Third Church.

The ministry also sponsors a Back to School Drive where students receive a book bag filled with school supplies to begin and/or refresh the school year on a positive note.  It offers free Vacation Bible Camp for eight consecutive weeks on a full-time basis which includes two meals.  Children ages  ___ learn about the Lord and participate in a variety of field trips, as well as create many craft-like projects.

In addition, this ministry also sponsors a winter coat drive where the entire community is invited to receive a hot meal, a new or gently used coat, and other winter apparel items (i.e. a hat, scarf, gloves, etc.) for each family member.
